This role is part of our Corporate Operations group and offers an opportunity to grow professionally while maintaining our market position as the world leader in smart lighting and shading systems.u00a0u00a0As a Tactical Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of materials that support our operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and help drive continuous improvement in our supply chain processes. You'll be trained by industry experts and gain exposure to best practices in a collaborative environment.u00a0Responsibilitiesu00a0Execute and manage purchase orders (POs), including handling exceptions, deferrals, and expedite requests.u00a0Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time delivery (OTD) through proactive communication and follow-up.u00a0Track and report key metrics such as MRP execution, material shortages, and past-due invoices.u00a0Maintain optimal inventory levels and address procurement delays or shortages.u00a0Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate material planning and order fulfillment.u00a0Resolve supplier issues, expedite deliveries, and maintain strong vendor relationships.u00a0Maintain and update reports and trackers (e.g., customs POs, deferrals, cancellations).u00a0Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.u00a0Qualificationsu00a0Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earnedMinimum 2 years of experience in procurement or materials management.Proven analytical skills with proficiency in purchasing and manufacturing processes.Understanding of MRP systems, bill of materials, and procurement processes.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.APICS CPIM certification -- preferred.u00a0u00a0Lutron Electronics' position as theworldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
