Sheet Metal Fabricator Apply now ( Location New Orleans, LA Job Category Manufacturing & Production Division Laitram Machinery Job Description (General Summary) We are seeking a reliable, detail oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to support our fabrication team. This role is responsible for removing laser-cut parts, performing deburring operations (by hand and machine), and helping move work through multiple fabrication areas. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position with opportunities to learn and grow across laser, press brake, and saw operations. Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities u00b7 Break out parts from laser-cut sheets u00b7 Deburr parts using hand tools and deburring machines (Lissmac) u00b7 Inspect parts to ensure quality and remove sharp edges or defects u00b7 Prep and stage parts for the next operation u00b7 Support production across laser, deburr, press brake, and saw areas as needed u00b7 Perform daily/weekly maintenance for upkeep of the machines u00b7 Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe u00b7 Maintain accurate work and labor entries using shop floor systems. Requirements u00b7 High school diploma or equivalent u00b7 Experience using basic hand tools (grinders, sanders, etc.) u00b7 Strong attention to detail and quality u00b7 Ability to read basic drawings and use measuring tools u00b7 Willingness to learn and work across multiple areas u00b7 Team player with a strong work ethic u00b7 Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as outlined in the Functional Job Description.
