Land Surveyor

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. This role is responsible for performing field surveys, collecting accurate site data, and assisting in the preparation of maps,u00a0plats, and reports. Experience with drone (UAS) surveying is a plus. A professional surveying license isu00a0notu00a0required; however, a strong interest in pursuing licensure in the future is preferred. This role is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA. Role and Responsibilities + Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipmentu00a0 + Perform boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as built surveysu00a0 + Execute drone-based surveys, including mission planning, flight operations, data capture, and postprocessingu00a0 + Collect, process, and verify survey data with accuracy and attention to detailu00a0 + Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, legal descriptions, point clouds,u00a0orthomosaics, and related documentationu00a0 + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure project requirements are metu00a0 + Maintain, troubleshoot, and properly store all survey and drone equipmentu00a0 + Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company safety protocolsu00a0 + Support licensed surveyors and senior staff with project related tasksu00a0 Qualifications and Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent required;u00a0associate or bacheloru2019su00a0degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field is a plusu00a0 + Experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred but not requiredu00a0 + Familiarity with drones/UAS technology, photogrammetry, or LiDAR workflows is a plusu00a0 + FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or willingness to obtain oneu00a0 + Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptionsu00a0 + Strong math, problem solving, and spatial reasoning skillsu00a0 + Willingness to work outdoors inu00a0varyingu00a0weather and terrain conditionsu00a0 + Valid driveru2019s license and reliable transportationu00a0 + Interest in pursuing LSIT/PLS licensure is a plus + Must be a US Citizenu00a0 What We Offeru00a0 + Opportunities for training, professional development, and licensure supportu00a0 + A collaborative and supportive work environmentu00a0 + Competitive compensation and benefits packageu00a0 + Pay: $31- $34/hr. - $65,000- $70,000/yr u00a0 NDI Engineering Company is a privately-held small business consulting firm.
