Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgeon Faculty Opportunity at Cincinnati Children's - AkronCincinnati Children's (CCHMC) is inviting applications for a Congenital Heart Surgeon. The individual selected will join the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at CCHMC which is comprised of a team dedicated to the most progressive surgical care of children with cardiothoracic pathology as well as how that care is delivered. Our research and innovation efforts within the division are well established and highly productive in several areas, including basic science, virtual reality, outcome and translational research. We have multiple collaborations with the Divisions of Cardiology, Molecular Cardiovascular Biology, as well as a myriad of other divisions throughout CCHMC. As one of the three integrated components of the Heart Institute [Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, & Molecular Cardiovascular Biology], a multidisciplinary business unit within Cincinnati Children's, our division has enjoyed a highly esteemed profile internationally as an innovative leader in the management of pediatric and congenital cardiac patients.While hired through CCHMC, the faculty appointment associated with this opportunity is granted by the University of Cincinnati (UC) whereby the Division has formed a strong collaborative relationship with leadership in cardiothoracic surgery. Surgeons within the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at CCHMC may perform surgery at a number of locations. This position is to be a full faculty member in the CCHMC division of Congenital Heart Surgery and report to the Chief of the Division. Current active unrestricted medical license Associate/Full Professor appointment Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgery or the international equivalent.
