The RoleThe Water Street Brass location seeks a motivated individual to join our team and become a key contributor to our continued rapid growth. The Productions associates within Water Street Brass are the engine of our production process and centric when it comes to delivering quality products our customers. Therefore, it is paramount to be professional and committed to our work. This This is a full time hourly position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Key Duties and Responsibilities Immerses metal workpieces in series of cleaning, coloring, and rinse tanks, following a timed cycle. Examines workpieces for plating defects, such as rough spots and thin plating. Drains solutions from and cleans and refills tanks. Rubbing or polishing the surface of various metal pieces such as a handle, knob or hinge to produce a smooth, slightly glossy to mirror-like finish. Apply, depending on the desired finish, a thin coat of wax (like Renaissance, or Mohawk Wax). Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual and non-conformities. Perform basic assembly and production of devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards. Mark, label and package parts. Track and document quantity of pieces received and finished. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production, to address technical issues, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills High School diploma or equivalent. * Basic understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing. * Experience in factory/ manufacturing environment preferred * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to detect slight variations in color and distance between parts on assembly fixtures. Ability to manipulate various small pieces of an assembly fixture at the same time.
