Food Handler

CHI is looking for full-time and part-time Food Handlers for our Suffolk programs. You will package, prepare, and distribute pre-made meals to clients in an emergency housing setting. This is accomplished by performing the following functions:Prepare and serve meals during shift.Prepare meal kits for future distribution.Advise Program Manager of needs and complete food orders from vendor.Serve as the point person for Contracted Food Vendor personnel.Thoroughly clean entire work area after each meal distribution.Record meal count and submit weekend statistics to Program Manager. WHAT DO I NEED?Education: High school diploma or equivalent requiredCertificates or Licenses: Current New York State Food Handlers CertificateExperience: One to two years working in a food service surance: Valid automobile insurance & drivers licenseCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English required, bi-lingual (Spanish) is a puter skills: Competency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Other Skills: Ability to relate to the underserved, homeless and disabled populations.
