Mayo Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our world-class Hematology and Oncology team. This role will primarily support the Bone Marrow Transplant and Myeloid disorders disease group within our outpatient practice.As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients across all stages of their treatment journey, including curative and palliative-intent therapies. This includes managing patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy. Key Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations. - Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team. - Monitor and evaluate therapeutic interventions for effectiveness. - Educate and counsel patients and families to support informed decision-making and adherence to treatment. - Prescribe medications in accordance with Florida state laws and institutional policies. - Collaborate across specialties and refer to appropriate services as needed. - Perform procedures including bone marrow biopsies and administration of intrathecal chemotherapy via Ommaya reservoir. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development. - Engage in institutional research and educational activities. - Attend and contribute to disease group discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
