The Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation (RDPI) team owns the design and build of Robotics technologies and deployment of those technologies into fulfillment operations. The RDPI finance team is seeking an analytical and driven finance leader to support the Global Robotics Delivery team, which is responsible for the deployment of Robotics technologies to Amazon's Operations. This position will partner with business teams to design and implement solutions to scale the program across new platforms, networks, and products, while ensuring the financial controls are in place to measure the end-to-end impact on Amazon’s cost to serve. When not dedicated to forecasting or monthly financial reporting activities, this role spends their time looking for opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, financial controls, data quality, and cost modeling. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys influencing both strategy and tactical execution and has a passion for innovation and scale. To be successful in this role, the incumbent will need excellent communication skills, strong ownership, and the ability to work with complex data sets to build financial analyses that will be used to inform RDPI’s strategy and drive engagement across cross-functional stakeholders. This position comes with executive-level visibility, and experience on this team can open up several career opportunities across Amazon.Key job responsibilities- Partnering with senior leaders in Amazon Robotics. - Build and maintain gearing ratio models which dictate resourcing plan for Robotics Delivery - Driving the core financial processes for the business including Annual Operating Plans, 3 year Strategic Plan, Long Range Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews. - Completing cost / benefit analyses and communicate key drivers / inputs to support business decisions. - Performing financial reporting, deep project analyses, and financial modeling. - Facilitating financial review meetings with business groups and working with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management. - Creating, improving, and maintaining financial metrics, reports and scorecards. - Communicating financial and business results including variance analyses to senior business leaders. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
