Executes verbal orders for medications and treatments limited to ACLS protocols.Manages phone calls, properly updates status on work-issued device, and performs accurate order entry when needed.Other duties as assigned.Performs venipuncture during codes or under the direction of an RN or Physician.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• N/AEducation:• Associate [Preferred]Field of Study:• Completion of a paramedic program• Previous training for Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Epidural Cath, Sheath, and Temp Pacer• of Science (AS) degree in EMS or Fire Science• Critical care paramedic program completion• ICU training (complete several shifts shadowing ICU RN)Work Experience:• 1+ year of emergency, hospital, or fd equivalent experience [Required]Additional Information:• N/ALicenses and Certifications:• Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required]• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements)Physical Requirements - Range:$20.38 - $32.60This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
