Field Supervisor

Velox, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor who leads from the field, sets the standard for safety and quality, and takes pride in delivering underground telecom construction done right.Location: Butler, GA (Primary)Travel: Occasional support of other GA markets as neededThe Field Supervisor at Velox oversees day-to-day field operations for telecom construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role supervises construction crews, coordinates field activities, and provides hands-on leadership to support successful project execution. The Field Supervisor reports directly to the Construction Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate underground telecom construction activities in the fieldLead, mentor, and support contractor crews and field personnelEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and work specificationsRead and interpret construction workprints and execute work plans independentlyIdentify and coordinate underground utility locates and maintain safe working conditionsSupport permitting, right-of-way compliance, and coordination with municipalities as neededCommunicate field progress, issues, and updates to the Construction ManagerAssist with documentation, reporting, and tracking of field activitiesRequired Qualifications2-5 years of experience in underground telecommunications constructionSupervisory experience overseeing contractor crews strongly preferredStrong knowledge of underground utility construction safety and quality standardsProven ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExperience coordinating utility locates and working around existing infrastructurePreferred Technical ExperienceDirect supervision of fiber construction crews performing:Directional drilling/missilingPipe installationFiber placing and pullingSplicing and testingTechnical & Administrative SkillsProficiency with:Microsoft ExcelCAD or workprint-based toolsDigital reporting, data entry, and communication platformsAdditional RequirementsFlexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends based on project needsWillingness to travel occasionally to support projects in other Velox marketsBilingual (Spanish) preferred, not requiredNote: This is not an entry-level position.
