Press Technician - HP Indigo | A ShiftCompensation $24.00 - $34.00/hour (based on experience and certifications)Schedule: A Shift Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (+Saturdays and/or Sundays during Peak seasons)RPI Print, a global leader in print‑on‑demand manufacturing, is hiring Press Technicians to support and maintain our HP Indigo Series 3 & Series 4 digital press fleet. This role ensures equipment uptime, print quality, and smooth production operations in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.What You'll DoPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on HP Indigo Series 3 & 4 pressesTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic issuesPartner with HP support teams and onsite Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for diagnostics and escalationsMaintain UTKs, service documentation, and accurate spare-parts inventorySupport equipment startups, installations, upgrades, and new product launchesUphold strict safety standards (PPE, Lockout/Tagout, chemical handling, ergonomics)Respond to HelpDesk tickets and resolve equipment downtime quickly and accuratelyPerform remote diagnostics with Level 1/2 teamsRebuild major components, optimize machine operations, and support continuous improvementCollaborate with operators and technicians to deepen technical understanding across systemsAssist with press operation during peak periods or emergency coverage requiredMaintain excellent communication, including clear daily pass-downsWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience maintaining digital presses or comparable industrial equipmentStrong preference for:HP Indigo certification, HP Tech Training, or Indigo Academy courseworkExperience with HP Indigo Series 3, Series 4, 18K, or 7250 pressesExperience with Canon iX inkjet nice to have!Strong technical proficiency in:Mechanical & electrical troubleshootingPLCs, sensors, stepper/servo motors, motion control systemsElectrical wiring, control panels, and safety interlocksReading circuit diagrams, relay ladder logic, and performing RCAUsing voltmeters, ammeters, and precision diagnostic toolsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and document work clearlyComfortable working overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedulesMaintains positive working relationships and supports a collaborative team environmentEducation & TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredHP Indigo certifications (any level) strongly preferredCommitment to continuous learning through HP trainings, tech events, forums, or best‑practice exchangesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to reach, bend, and stoop safely during equipment serviceReady to join a high-performing team in a modern print‑on‑demand facility?
