Medical-Surgical RN in West Lebanon, NH

A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise in West Lebanon, NH, on a contract basis. This position offers a chance to care for a diverse patient population with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, including infections, kidney diseases requiring dialysis, diabetes, liver disease, respiratory illnesses, and complex wounds. The unit focuses mainly on medical cases rather than surgical, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a broad range of medical conditions.Manage chest tubes, various intravenous drips (e.g., Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone).Care for patients with central lines, including maintenance and blood draws.Support post-surgical patients with lines, tubes, and drains.Administer care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies.Monitor patients using telemetry.Manage complex wounds effectively.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.Qualifications/Desired Experience:Current RN license with Medical-Surgical nursing experience.Proficiency in chest tube management and care.Experience with intravenous drips and medication administration.Skilled in central line care and blood draws.Familiarity with telemetry monitoring.Ability to manage complex wounds and respiratory devices.Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.Schedule/Hours:Day/Night rotations available.Approximately 36 hours per week.Option for straight day shifts.Location Overview:West Lebanon, NH, offers a charming New England setting with scenic beauty and a welcoming community.
