Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment.The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and is the face/voice of the practice. This position must provide excellent customer service to visitors to include greeting patients, patient check out, receiving payments, answering phones, etc. Position also requires scheduling, coordination and follow up with insurance companies and patients, and assisting the practice with special assignments when needed.Experience preferred, however will train the right person who has an outgoing, positive attitude! This position requires someone who can bring the 'Wow' factor, has the willingness to learn and the ability to multitask!Patient Care & In-Office Support (40%)Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalismEnsure patients feel welcomed and comfortableSupport patient check-in and check-out processesCoordinate patient flow, including charts and seatingCollect and apply patient payments accuratelyScheduling & Phones (40%)Schedule and confirm patient appointmentsEnsure appointments are aligned with provider availability and patient needsConfirm appointments at least 24 hours in advance and reschedule as neededHandle new patient calls and gather necessary informationProvide new patients with directions, appointment details, and required documentationInsurance & Administrative SupportVerify insurance coverage and communicate with insurance providersAssist with insurance claims, pre-determinations, and A/R processesAddress and help resolve insurance-related issuesAdditional Responsibilities (20%)Assist with special projects as assigned by leadershipManage incoming mail and ensure proper processing of payments and documentationSupport collections, recall systems, and administrative tools (e.g., Smart Doc, A/R systems)Perform other administrative tasks to support the practice0-3 years of administrative, front desk, or healthcare experience (dental preferred)High school diploma or GED requiredStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to multitask and manage competing prioritiesStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsComfortable handling confidential informationPositive, energetic, and professional demeanorStrong phone skills and customer service mindsetExperience with EHR systems and multi-line phones is a plusAmerican with Disabilities Specifications: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
