We are seeking an on-site entry-level full stack web application engineer to help us research and develop web applications for air operations planning and management. This project involves working closely with our customers to design and implement frontend and backend software for a complex interactive web application. Responsibilities: u2022 Support design of the client- and server-side software architectures u2022 Develop and manage backend databases u2022 Write automated tests and user interface tests to support automated application testing u2022 Build frontend features according to the principles of progressive enhancement and responsive design u2022 Apply your HTML / CSS / JavaScript programming skills to solving complex data management problems u2022 Write technical documentation Additional technologies you will use may include: u2022 Server-side programming environments, particularly Java or Node.js and frameworks like Express u2022 Frontend frameworks like Angular, React, or in some cases none at all u2022 SVG, Canvas, WebGL or other web-based graphics programming environments u2022 Automated testing tools like Mocha, Ava, JUnit, Selenium, or others u2022 Databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc u2022 SCM and issue tracking tools like Git, GitLab, Jira, etc Qualifications: _Required:_ u2022 Able to obtain DoD TOP SECRET security clearance u2022 Available to work on-site, in person at facilities in Rome, NY u2022 Able to work in an office environment, including using computers for long periods of time and communicating with others face-to-face, by telephone, email, or instant messaging u2022 Zero to three years of professional experience as a software developer u2022 Desire to learn on the job u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in the field of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, video game development, or related field _Desired:_ Experience with server-side programming environments, particularly Java or Node.js and frameworks like Express u2022 Experience with building single page apps using progressive enhancement u2022 Experience with frontend web application frameworks like Angular or React u2022 Experience with SVG, Canvas, WebGL or other web-based graphics programming environments u2022 Experience with automated testing tools like Mocha, Ava, JUnit, Selenium, or others u2022 Experience with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc u2022 Experience with Git / GitLab source code management tools - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
