Job Title: Business Analyst 3Job Description The Business Analyst 3 role is a contract position within the Transmission Engineering & Technical Services organization. This role is designed to support the Operational Excellence & Compliance Team by providing business analysis for projects, facilitating the gathering and analysis of information, performing gap analysis, and offering recommendations for process improvements. The role also involves collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Responsibilities + Facilitate large teams in problem solving and identify improvement opportunities using industry methodologies such as Kanban and GE Workout. + Perform organizational maturity analysis and draft maturity roadmaps based on management goals. + Conduct background research and interview stakeholders to gather and understand requirements. + Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to perform root cause analysis and identify process improvement opportunities. + Support the planning, development, and implementation of management-approved initiatives. + Analyze and document current and future state processes and value streams. + Facilitate decision-making processes to verify key requirements for future states. + Review business process change impacts and recommend change mitigation activities. + Perform analytical tasks related to projects, including defining and managing requirements. + Facilitate the definition and documentation of business and functional requirements. + Prepare use cases, process models, and activity diagrams to support projects. + Translate business requirements into definitions and solutions. + Design templates and tools to support project management methodologies. + Draft and recommend key project deliverable documents. + Develop documentation to validate process repeatability and support business continuity. + Facilitate resolution of conflicting priorities and requirements among stakeholders. Essential Skills + Proficiency in systems analysis and project management. + Experience with business systems analysis. + Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Visio, MS Project, Access, and SharePoint. + 5+ years of experience in process improvement and optimization across multiple business units. + Technical interview skills for group process design and requirements gathering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, or Computer Science is preferred. + 8 years of experience with a Bacheloru2019s degree, 10 years with an Associate's degree, or 12 years without an applicable degree. + Experience in large-scale organizational change efforts. + Experience with project and change management approaches and tools. + Familiarity with the Prosci methodology for Change Management. Work Environment The work environment is a slower-paced office setting with somewhat flexible hours. Business casual attire is expected, and the role requires an independent work style with minimal supervision. The position is deadline-driven, and there may be instances where approvals and paperwork depend on external parties. The team is focused on continuous improvement, empowering individuals to identify and eliminate inefficiencies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $59.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
