Position Overview The Patient Scheduler serves as a primary point of contact for patients and external partners, ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently. This role plays a key part in patient access, insurance verification, and coordination between patients and clinical teamsu2014delivering compassionate, detailu2011oriented support in a fastu2011paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities + Schedule patient appointments via phone and electronic correspondence and accurately document them in the system + Collect, verify, and communicate patient insurance eligibility and benefit details + Educate patients on insurance verification and estimated financial responsibility prior to visits + Confirm appointments and provide clear instructions regarding time, location, and visit requirements + Create, update, and maintain patient records, including demographics and required documentation + Coordinate with referring provider offices to obtain necessary records or information + Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to ensure efficient appointment workflows + Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries, escalating concerns when appropriate + Assist insurance verification staff as needed + Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations + Perform additional related duties as assigned Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required; Bacheloru2019s degree preferred + 2+ years of experience in customer service, scheduling, or healthcare settings + 1+ year of experience working with EHR systems (athenaOne preferred) + Experience in a remote, highu2011volume call environment strongly preferred + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Excellent attention to detail and accuracy + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fastu2011paced environment + Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and related software + Customeru2011focused, empathetic, and professional demeanor + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Work Environment + Fully Remote + Must reside and work in PST or MST time zones Compensation + Pay Rate: $21.00 u2013 $25.00 per hour + Overtime: Paid at 1.5x Benefits (Eligibility Requirements Apply) + Medical, dental, and vision coverage + 401(k) retirement plan (preu2011tax and Roth options) + Life insurance and AD&D coverage + Shortu2011 and longu2011term disability + Health Savings Account (HSA) + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + Paid time off and leave options Why This Role? + 100% remote work with schedule flexibility + Supportive team culture and approachable leadership + Opportunity to contribute to meaningful, patientu2011focused care + Exposure to evolving healthcare technology and systems + Shortu2011term contract opportunity with competitive pay We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
