Job Title: Scientist IIIJob Description We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Scientist III to join our Product Development Science and Technology (PDS&T) team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in aseptic filling of parenteral products, process development, commercial site scale-up, and technology transfers. The role requires familiarity and compliance with regulatory standards within pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. You will independently design and execute lab studies to develop robust manufacturing processes for clinical phase and commercial products. This position is an integral part of the product development and CMC teams. Responsibilities + Support lab studies for process development and technology transfer of parenteral drug products, including synthetic molecules and biologics such as antibody drug conjugates (ADCs). + Design and execute lab studies to evaluate the stability of biologics under various solution conditions and physical stresses from manufacturing processes, such as freeze-thaw, mixing, filtration, filling, and lyophilization. + Design, execute, and interpret critical lab experiments to answer scientific questions, understanding broad project objectives and modifying experimental plans as needed. + Interpret results and draw conclusions from multistage experiments, noting significant deviations and suggesting, designing, and pursuing relevant experiments. + Set and meet experimental timelines and effectively organize and present scientific plans and data. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s degree with 7+ years of experience, Masteru2019s degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with relevant experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a similar area. + Experience in a laboratory environment focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing or process development. + Ability to independently design, execute, and interpret critical experiments to answer scientific questions. + Proficiency in learning, understanding, and mastering new experimental techniques. + Understanding of regulatory requirements for injectable products. + Strong scientific writing skills and verbal communication abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing, experimental techniques, chemistry, biochemistry, and chemical engineering. Work Environment This position is located in Lake County, IL, at Abbott Park, AP31. It is a hybrid role requiring four days onsite each week. The position is a one-year contract with the potential for extension. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
