We believe in nourishing the whole person , creating community through great food and programming, and doing whatu2019s right , every time. _We are Nourishing a Brighter Future._ Job Summary As a District Manager , you will lead and support a portfolio of private and independent K-12 school dining accounts within a defined territory in Missouri, Nebraska, and Minnesota. You will provide strategic oversight, operational leadership, and financial accountability, working closely with on-site teams to ensure outstanding service delivery and client happiness. The District Manager is responsible for driving performance, developing talent, and partnering with senior leadership to align operations with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and community needs. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Lead, run, and mentor a cross-functional team of Resident District Managers and/or Directors of Dining Services, ensuring operational perfection and high levels of team engagement. u00b7 Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a strategic partner and brand ambassador for your accounts. u00b7 Drive financial performance, including ownership of the P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting accuracy across all locations in the territory. u00b7 Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Retention teams on proposal development and support the full lifecycle of new and existing business opportunities. u00b7 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local foodservice regulations, quality assurance standards, and company policies. u00b7 Conduct regular audits and implement continuous improvement strategies across all accounts. u00b7 Champion a culture of safety and inclusivity; supervise training, allergy awareness, and workplace safety programs. u00b7 Champion leadership development and succession planning within your teams; conduct performance evaluations and guide professional growth. u00b7 Participate in regional leadership meetings to share standard processes, address challenges, and support organizational initiatives. u00b7 Represent the organization at school and community events, reinforcing what we value and deepening engagement. u00b7 Collaborate with internal and external partners to solve problems, analyze risks, and evaluate both short- and long-term impact of decisions. u00b7 Ensure timely completion of required administrative reporting and adherence to all company procedures and policies. u00b7 Travel extensively throughout the assigned Midwest territory to provide on-site support and leadership visibility. Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Hospitality Management, Food Services, or related field is strongly preferred; a minimum of 5 years of dynamic multi-unit foodservice or hospitality leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. u00b7 Strong experience leading contract-based operations, P&L oversight, and customer satisfaction initiatives. u00b7 Validated ability to grow business, drive financial results, and implement critical initiatives. u00b7 Confirmed leadership skills with a focus on team development, performance coaching, and succession planning. u00b7 Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. u00b7 Ability to think strategically, solve problems analytically, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. u00b7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). u00b7 Flexible, collaborative, and committed to fostering inclusive and positive workplace cultures.
