Operations Manager The OperationsManagerreports directly to the GeneralManagerin fulfilling daily operations including but not limited to route supervision, staffand operatorsupervision, effective communication with internaland external customers and coaching employees foroptimalperformance, managing the entire operation in the absence ofthe GeneralManager, complying with allCompany policies and managing the operation within the budgetary plan for the location. This position is based in Chicago, ILinsupporting the Chicago RTA Eligibility. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy Key Responsibilities: + Supervises daily activities of all Eligibility Specialists and coordinates the activities of supervisors and office personnel. + Oversees scheduling of Eligibility Specialists; monitors operations and coordinates delivery of service with superiors. + Works closely with the General Manager to ensure that all operation service requirements are met. + Track, compile and analyze performance; handle interdepartmental issues; resolve employee issues and grievances; improve processes and appointment scheduling. + Makes hiring decisions for authorized roles; evaluates the work performance of staff; ensures the timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks. + Assists in accident/incident investigation, including any needed on-site assistance and support to safety and training personnel. + Coordinates with the safety and training department to ensure all safety goals and directives are met. + Develops Operations department budget. + May operate a vehicle in revenue service, if necessary. + Other duties as required. + Travel requirement outside of immediate area (15%): Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Social Services, Rehabilitation, Ancillary Health Care Profession, or a related field + Willing to accept relevant experience and specialized certifications in lieu of a Bacheloru2019s degree (Certifications can include: COTA, OT, PT) + 3+ years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities + Experience and knowledge with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and sensitivity to issues relating to people with disabilities and older adults. + Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant database programs + Good written and oral communication skills + Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details + Ability to work effectively with labor; may include labor grievances and negotiations + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. + Sit for extended periods (up to 6u20138 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces + Push and pull objects up to 50pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, orcrouch to files or equipment stored at ground level + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
