The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, optimization, and support of the organization's endpoint computing environment. This includes overseeing various hardware-related tasks performed by the desktop support analysts, such as imaging and deploying devices. Additionally, the incumbent will actively contribute to the endpoint life cycle refresh project, playing a vital role in its planning and execution. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that align with COTA's technological goals. Beyond engineering, the role extends to managing and coordinating the desktop support analysts' efforts, ensuring cohesive and efficient hardware-related processes. This multifaceted position demands a strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and effective leadership to contribute to COTA's mission of fostering a productive digital workspace. Perform other duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Lead and manage a dedicated team of desktop support analysts, partnering with the Service Desk Manager to oversee hardware imaging and deployment processes. + Take a leadership role in the development and maintenance of desktop images through SCCM, ensuring a standardized and efficient imaging process. + Implement and optimize software deployment strategies using SCCM, ensuring seamless and reliable distribution of software across the organization. + Collaborate with management to define and enforce standards for both hardware and software, contributing to the overall technology governance framework at COTA. + Integrate endpoint services seamlessly within the hardware deployment strategy, ensuring a cohesive and efficient desktop environment. + Identify manual tasks and processes for automation, focusing on both software and hardware management, and actively contribute to the development and implementation of automation solutions. + Utilize Azure AD/Entra ID and On-Premises AD for seamless user and device identity management, integrating endpoint services within the broader hardware and software management framework. + Deploy and manage applications using Microsoft Intune and integrate Intune with SCCM for a unified and streamlined approach to endpoint management. + Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support, promptly addressing escalated desktop engineering issues and ensuring timely resolutions. + Collaborate with Cyber Security to patch endpoints, actively contributing to the organization's overall security posture. + Take the lead as needed in projects such as Life Cycle Hardware Refresh, demonstrating strong project management skills and strategic oversight. + Manage and mentor a team of dedicated desktop support analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and seven (7) years' experience in desktop engineering, with a focus on SCCM, software deployment, and hardware deployment.
