Overview Schedule: 12-hour assignments for Day and Nights Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care to complex acute, critical and chronically ill patients and manages the plan of care. The APP is experienced and works autonomously, as well as in collaboration with other health care professionals, to diagnose and manage patients' acute and chronic health care needs. APP patient coverage requires regularly scheduled days, nights, including weekends, holidays and on-call obligations. The Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) is a sophisticated 58-bed unit that provides a complete range of medical and surgical services for neonates and infants with the most complex conditions. Our unit serves as a regional referral center for the western United States as well as an international referral center. Our specialized programs include Fetal & Neonatal Surgery, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized ventilatory support & home ventilation program, Newborn Follow-Up, and more. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: u2022 Required: Enhanced knowledge of pediatric patient care principles, and ability to manage specialty patient care and emergencies by prioritizing patient care acuity and tasks, collaborating with entire care team critically, comprehensively both verbally and in writing. u2022 Preferred: NICCU clinical experience Education/Licensure/Certification: u2022 Required: u2022 Master's Degree from an accredited college or university u2022 PA - Physician Assistant State License or NP - Nurse Practitioner License u2022 DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration u2022 American Health Association BLS - Basic Life Support & PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support u2022 NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NICCU only) u2022 (NP) Required: u2022 Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Acute-Care OR DUAL u2022 Pediatric Nurse-Practitioner Primary-care u2022 Family Nurse-Practitioner (Post-Masteru2019s Pediatric Preferred) u2022 Neonatal Nurse-Practitioner (NICCU Only) Pay Scale Information $143,998.00-$246,854.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidateu2019s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
