JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provideindividual and/or group education and counseling related to sexualactivity, STIs, safe sex practices, harm reduction, condom use, and STItransmission modes to people served by WCS. Provide practical andemotional support while connecting individuals to STI testing andtreatment and supporting people related to test results and treatmentplans Support WCS CSP and TCM staff in the provision of STI educationand counseling serving as a trainer for other staff, working in complexsituations, and serving as a subject matter expert Support clinicaloperations of STI services at the request of the lead medical stafferincluding material ordering, stocking, and assuring facilities and roomsare prepared to provide testing and treatment Work closely with thepharmacy to assure people in need of treatment receive it andappropriate adherence education to support successful completion oftreatment Document all work of their own and other staff STI educationand counseling efforts in the electronic health records system to assureappropriate health care recordkeeping and compliance with 340Brequirements Serve as a member of the 340B compliance committee orsimilar oversight body within WCS Actively support the growth of theprogram to serve as many people served at WCS and within the communityCollaborate with marketing, internal communications, fundraising, andother staff as appropriate to promote the program and secure necessaryfinancial support Collaborate with finance staff to initiate and sustainbilling for STI counseling and education services. Other job-relatedduties that may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of theposition OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: JobQualifications: Required Qualifications: A high school diploma andexperience in this area to apply.A bachelor's degree in the HumanServices area related fields is preferred, along with individuals whohave experience related to STI education, counseling, testing, andtreatment. No convictions or license revocations that would fail acaregiver background check Valid driver's license, automobile, andsufficient insurance to meet agency requirements Knowledge, Skills andAbilities: Good clinical skills, especially related to mental health andsubstance use disorders Knowledge of STIs, transmission modes, testing,and treatment options Ability to provide education and counselingrelated to sexual activity, harm reduction, STIs, and related topicsAbility to communicate and work effectively in a positive manner with adiverse population of staff and participants Ability to respondappropriately in crisis situations, including de-escalation Demonstratecultural sensitivity, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skillswhile representing the agency both internally and externally Ability tomanage change, think critically, and be solution-oriented when dealingwith situations as they arise in a fast-paced environment Goodorganizational and computer/typing skills Effective use of electronichealth records systems Knowledge of 340B and other related regulationsor ability to learn quickly Effective time management skills and theability to multitask to meet various deadlines Commitment to the casemanager role and the participants we serve Ability to set professionalboundaries with ethics and integrity Work as a team member whoparticipates productively while also managing independent duties andresponsibilities Sense of humor Other Job Information (if applicable):PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position is based in an office setting. Must be ableto go up and down stairs and lift/carry 20 pounds to periodically assistparticipants. WORKENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a busy treatment environment; mostwork is done sittin at a desk using a computer and/or meeting withparticipants.
