This job is REMOTE.FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours:40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: 1stHolidays: no Weekends: no Job Summary: The Clinical DocumentationSpecialist is an experienced Clinical Documentation Nurse who hasobtained knowledge and expertise in all patient populations across theenterprise to provide comprehensive Clinical Documentation Integrity(CDI). Facilitates modifications to clinical documentation to ensureappropriate reimbursement is received for the level of service rendered.Ensures the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used formeasuring and reporting clinical and quality outcomes. Otherinformation: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 5 years of acute carenursing experience is required. A minimum of 1 year of CDI experience ina hospital setting is required. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor Degree inNursing or Foreign trained medical graduate is required. SPECIAL SKILLSREQUIRED: Efficient use of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word),WebEx and Epic (or similar EMR). Excellent communication, negotiation,troubleshooting, and presentation skills. Ability to read and correlatean extensive variety of medical / surgical medical treatments andmonitoring to clinical conditions. Ability to interact with all levelsof organization. Ability to document and maintain process documentation.Excellent follow-through from initiation to conclusion. Workingknowledge related to MSDRG and APRDRG payer trends and rules. Workingknowledge related DRG and CMI impacts. Working knowledge of codingguidelines and coding clinics. LICENSURE REQUIRED: Requires currentstate of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state NursingLicense from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).LICENSURE PREFERRED: Advanced certification related to CDI (CCS, CPC,CCDS, CDIP) is preferred.
