Overview Schedule : Day shift, as early as 7am until as late as 10pm Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Dietetic Technicians conduct nutrition screens, provide basic nutrition information, work in the human milk lab or formula preparation areas, and help stock formula. The Dietetic Tech, under general supervision, assist Clinical Dietitian in the provision of in-patient nutritional care. Collects subjective and objective data for evaluation of nutrition acuity per CNS protocol. Assumes responsibility for patients evaluated as low to moderate nutritional acuity. Provides formula and basic nutrition education upon discharge as needed. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience : 1+ year of related experience. Basic pediatric nutrition knowledge to include basic pediatric assessment, basic counseling skills required. Computer skills required. Education/Licensure/Certifications : A.A. degree and Dietetic Technician certificate program; OR BS/BA degree in Nutrition or related field required. DTR (diet technician registered) required. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Pay Scale Information $46,592.00-$76,544.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidateu2019s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
