Job Description The Utility Worker position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dining, or serving area Responsibilities + Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment. + Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner. + Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines. + Stocks storage areas with various products. + Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), spike rooms, and equipment as well as all floors. + Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, etc. + Delivering Food Carts and distributing trays to dining area. + Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects. + Assists cooks and others as needed and coordinates oneu2019s own activities with otheru2019s. + May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc. + Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unitu2019s success also may be assigned. Qualifications + High school diploma or GED equivalent. + Must have Food Handlers Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire. + The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc. + This contract requires employees to have the following immunizations: TB. The successful candidate must be able to provide immunization records for all of this and/or be willing to take the vaccination if offered the job + Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. Preferred Requirements + A valid driveru2019s license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the companyu2019s insurance carrier. + At least six (6) months of related food service experience. Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
