Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the wood and furniture manufacturing industry, ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in financial operations. The role involves managing accounts receivable processes, including data entry, invoice reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities: u2022 Enter and process accounts receivable transactions with precision and attention to detail. u2022 Review and reconcile invoices, particularly those related to freight charges, ensuring accuracy. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments effectively. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice-related issues. u2022 Utilize Great Plains accounting software and SalesPad to manage financial records. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate application of payments to accounts. u2022 Maintain organized records for auditing and reporting purposes. u2022 Support commercial collections efforts by following up on outstanding payments. u2022 Assist in billing functions, including preparing and sending invoices to customers. u2022 Communicate professionally with clients to address inquiries related to accounts receivable. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related role. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains accounting software is required. u2022 Strong skills in handling invoice discrepancies and reconciling accounts. u2022 Knowledge of cash applications and commercial collections processes. u2022 Proficiency in managing billing functions and ensuring timely payment processing. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients. u2022 Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly wood and furniture, is a plus.
