Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves loading trucks overnight to ensure timely morning dispatch, requiring proficiency in forklift, side loader, or overhead crane operations. The position offers both first and third shift opportunities, providing flexibility in work hours. Responsibilities + Load and unload trucks, ensuring timely dispatch. + Operate forklift, side loader, or overhead crane to move inventory. + Read and interpret work orders, locate parts, and load them onto trucks. + Complete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions. + Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, and maintain warehouse upkeep. + Receive and place items into stock inventory locations. + Pull and assemble orders based on work or shipping orders. + Tag materials for identification and complete required documentation. + Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers. + Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area. + Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to sequence. + Conduct inventory spot checks and ensure proper tagging of materials. + Restock materials and report irregularities to supervisors. + Occasionally drive a non-DOT truck for local deliveries and parts pick-ups. + Adhere to safety and quality standards. + Perform other duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills + Experience with forklift, shipping and receiving, and material handling. + Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally, 60 pounds repetitively. + Basic measurement and arithmetic skills. + Basic computer proficiency and software application knowledge. + Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. + Ability to stand for sustained periods and push or pull 80 pounds of force. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education. + High School diploma or GED preferred. + Warehousing and material handling experience preferred. + Manual dexterity and coordination skills. + Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
