Job Description A large automotive company is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to join their Infrastructure Engineering team in Palo Alto with ability to travel to Fremont. This individual will support the design and construction of a variety of new projects and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities. This role is 20-25% site work and 75% behind a desk. What Youu2019ll Do u2022 Conduct structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations u2022 Develop drawings, building information models (BIM), calculations, proposals, and reports. u2022 Prepare preliminary designs for quotes. u2022 Perform construction administration tasks including review and coordination of RFIs, RFPs, submittal logs, bids, shop drawings, etc. Interact with contractors, fabricators, stakeholders and consultant teams. u2022 Provide field support including recording existing field conditions, taking and verifying measurements within project area. u2022 Documentation and assessment of existing conditions of a structure using existing documentation as well as field investigations. u2022 Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionals u2022 Manage structural projects from estimating through construction Pay Range for this role is $60 - $80 depending on years of experience and education We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. For example; automobile manufacturing, semiconductor, solar, battery or similar industry.
