217492 - Interior Assembler B Industry MAN Region SC-South Carolina City North Charleston State SC Rate Up to $28.35 DOE Duration 12 Months Description Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Assembler (Level B) for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, and/or fabrication 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English. 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications. Regular and predictable attendance is required. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. Models a culture of One Team, Pride and Ownership. Partners with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leader to mitigate performance risk utilizing Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologies. Identifies roadblocks and production constraints escalating issues which cannot be resolved by the team using open and clear communication. Uses KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environment. Participates in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activities. Supports overtime as required to meet customer commitments. Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross training and mentoring.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • 1 Year Aerospace experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting). Carry/Lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materialsREQUIRED EDUCATION: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).WORK HOURS FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 6:00 AM - 2:45 PM. Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
