Sr. Cost Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing cost accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and optimizing financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and oversee cost accounting processes, including cost analysis and reporting. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems such as BlackLine and Costpoint to streamline financial operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and other relevant guidelines. u2022 Conduct audits and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial data. u2022 Collaborate on budget planning and forecasting to support organizational goals. u2022 Analyze financial performance and provide insights to drive cost efficiency. u2022 Develop and maintain robust cost accounting procedures for accurate tracking. u2022 Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems. u2022 Assist in preparing detailed financial reports for management review. u2022 Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in cost accounting and financial analysis. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems, including BlackLine and Costpoint. u2022 Knowledge of DCAA compliance and auditing practices. u2022 Strong understanding of budget processes and cost analysis methodologies. u2022 Familiarity with ADP financial services tools. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively across departments. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
