Automotive Technician/Mechanic

The Automotive Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light and medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $30- $40 per hour, depening on experience!Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00pm-4:30am (Overnight Shift)What’s in it for you? Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, 401K, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, ASE certification program, employee recognition program, employee discounts, employee assistance program, and growth opportunities!What the Automotive Technician/Mechanic role looks like:Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehiclesPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehiclesMaintain general upkeep and maintenance of Mobile Service TruckRespond to off-site client requests as neededInteract with clients through both email and phone as necessaryPerform other duties as requiredWhat our ideal candidate looks like:At least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolMust have valid Driver’s LicenseProficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailAbility to work without direct supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properlyMust provide own hand tools & toolbox.Are you ready to advance your career as a Mobile Service Technician with Amerit Fleet Solutions?
