This role is responsible for managing team performance, ensuring successful delivery of projects across scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality, and maintaining strong client relationships.The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep technical expertise in overhead transmission and distribution design, strong project management capabilities, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.Supervise staff, office operations, and equipment to ensure efficient daily performanceOversee overall department performance, including scope, bidding, safety, quality, schedule, cost, innovation, and customer satisfactionProvide guidance and coaching during project initiation and planning phasesMonitor operational and project budgets; review weekly financial reportsServe as the primary point of contact for clients and internal leadershipSupport internal design and planning servicesDrive business development with existing and prospective clientsParticipate in internal and external meetingsSupport bid efforts through estimating, collaboration, and knowledge sharingReport project status and performance metrics to stakeholdersEnsure compliance with Project Management Methodology (PMM)Champion and model a strong safety cultureEnforce company policies and proceduresManage resource allocation, including acquisition and release of staffTravel and work extended hours as needed to support project demands5+ years of experience in Transmission & Distribution overhead design and/or planning2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong knowledge of NESC and GO 95 guidelinesPreferred QualificationsExperience with underground transmission & distribution design and/or planningFamiliarity with Southern California Edison (SCE) design standardsExperience using SPIDAcalc and SPIDAMin pole loading softwareExperience with SCE systems such as SAP, FIM, Circuit Maps, and AUDExperience working with municipalities and investor-owned utilities in CaliforniaBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldEIT or PE license preferredPMP certification is a plusSalaryRange:$91,600/yr to $137,500/yr (will be dependent upon level of experience)Benefits:Full-timeemployeesareeligibletoparticipateinourbenefitplanwhichincludesthefollowing:401(k)PlanEmployeeStockPurchasePlanHealth,Dental,&VisionInsuranceVoluntaryLifeInsuranceVoluntaryShortTerm&Long-TermDisabilityPaidtimeoffHenkels & McCoy West, LLC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.
