ABOUT THE POSITIONVHB’sOrlando, FL officeis seeking aTransportation Plannerto join their Project Development & Environment (PD&E) group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.ResponsibilitiesAssist in development of transportation planning studies for a multitude of transportation projectsAssist with development of support materials for public involvement activitiesSupport with authorship of project-related documentation for a range of transportation planning studies, demographic analyses, and multi-modal / transit-oriented projectsPrepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reportsConduct planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize resultsPerform field data collection and other on-site project support activitiesSkills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsTeam-oriented with strong capability to work independentlyA strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieveThe ability to work on multiple projects and work independentlyExcellent attention to detailProficiency with communication tools such, Word, PowerPoint, and graphics softwareQualificationsBachelor’s degree in planning, civil engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 1-3+ years of related professional planning and/or compliance experience We are VHB!We’re an inspired and innovative team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments.
