The Counter Person provides counter service to county employees who need parts/equipment to perform their jobs. The Counter Person will assist with inventory control, data entry in inventory systems and customer service.Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the followingAttention to detailReview, familiarize with and adhere to Policy and Procedures ManualReview, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs and Safety ManualMeet and greet customersReview supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (Signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions and quantities)Answer questions regarding availability of partsProvide company documentation to vendors as required (tax exempt form, credit references)Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and providedInform customers when requested parts are availableData Entry RequirementsAssist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory systemAssist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory systemInventory Management RequirementsAssist in performing weekly inventory cycle countsAssist in performing counts during Wall to Wall inventories at siteOther Requirements• Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance• Provide 24 hour support at the county location during emergencies• Assist with inventory research projects as requested• Adhere to required procedures• Participate in the SCM continuing training program• Assist with other duties as assigned1 year computer experience24-hour availabilityValid Driver’s License with two years driving experience1 year experience with auto or heavy duty truck partsAuto and/or heavy duty truck parts experienceInventory experienceObtain and maintain a forklift licenseCurrent COVID-19 VaccineMedium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Driving, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, WalkingWork is performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions.
