The organization has also engaged local corporations and foundations to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in advancing housing solutions, all while experiencing several years of high growth in its lending business.Housing Trust embraces diversity and believes that safe,stableaffordable housing opens the door to better living for everyone.About this role:The Development and Communications Assistant (DCA) reports to the Chief Development and Impact Officer and works closely with the Communications and Development team to provide strong administrative support for the department’s overall operations.This role is a critical member of the team, supporting key initiatives including planning and executing events, updating marketing collateral,maintainingdigital platforms, and managing contact data. It offers the opportunity to contribute directly to mission-driven work that expands access to affordable housing across the Bay Area.Your Contribution Will Likely Include:Communications (40%)Support marketing and outreach efforts by creating and sending segmented email blasts and newslettersDesign flyers and update marketing collateralAssistwith social media content, primarily LinkedInAttend partner events, coordinate coverage, take and edit photos, and prepare visual assets using tools such as Canva and PowerPointMaintain and update website contentSupportadditionalcommunication projects as neededDepartment Administration (40%)Maintain the contact database in Salesforce, including data entry, record updates, and list segmentationSupport data integrity across systems including Salesforce and Box, coordinating with outside contractors as neededCompile and report on analytics from social media, the website, and other platformsProcess purchase orders, invoices, and payment requestsPerformadditionaladministrative responsibilities as assignedEvents & Development (20%)Compile briefs for groundbreakings, grand openings, and other eventsManage pre- and post-eventlogisticsfor in-person and virtual eventsCoordinate with venues, caterers, AV providers, and other vendorsSupport event-related communications with sponsors and guestsTrack event attendance across platforms including Constant Contact, Eventbrite, and SalesforceProvide day-of event supportMaintainaccurateevent listings across calendarsSupport donation and payment processingExperience You Will Bring:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; or 5+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in an office setting preferredProficiencyin Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience with WordPress or similar content management systemsExperience with or willingness to learn CRM tools such as Salesforce and BoxExperience with or willingness to learn marketing tools such as Constant Contact and CanvaExperience with project management tools such as Asana, or willingness to learnAbility to manage digital photo assets for web and social mediaComfort with or curiosity about using AI tools to support workStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to compile and present data effectivelyAlignment with and enthusiasm for Housing Trust’s missionHigh levelof integrity and professionalismAbility to collaborate effectively and work both independently and as part of a teamCompensation & Benefits:The hourly range for this position is$31.73 - $38.46.Housing Trust offers a competitive total compensation package, including:Medical, dental, and vision coverage fully paid for employees, with 50% of premiums covered for eligible dependentsEmployer-funded 401(k) contribution of 3%, plus anadditionalmatch of up to 2%Generous paid time off, including three weeks of vacation, twelve sick days, eleven holidays, and a year-end office shutdownEligibility for an annual performance-based bonusTuition reimbursement andadditionalbenefitsEqual Employment Opportunity:Housing Trust is an equal opportunity employer to all regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, actual or perceived gender identity, age, or sexual orientation.
