Fountainview Retirement Living Community is actively seeking aMedical Technician to work inour Assisted Living Community in Airmont, NY.DUTIES:Accurately pour and endorse assistance with the medication of each individualEnsure consistency between the physician prescriptions, blister packs and medications poured for each residentEnsure timely and accurate medication orders and medication renewalsReview medication refill log to compare with medication in storage cabinetsReview of “no-refill” orders in the refill log and faxing of requests to MDsReview of receipt, storage, and documentation of medications deliveredCommunicate with the Medication Supervisor to clarify and ensure entitlements, prescriptions, and deliveriesMaintain medical and medication information on all residents in their designated fileReport residents who missed or refused medications to supervisor and case managementAttend all mandatory scheduled in-service training programsREQUIREMENTS:Previous experience and/or training as a Medtech isa plusPost high school course work in medical services or college degree is a plusAble to read, write, and communicate clearly in the English languageFamiliar with the needs of the infirm and the elderly
