In this role, you will: + Own the schedule: Build and manage project timelines to keep deployments on track. + Drive success: Ensure requirements are met and maintain clear documentation. + Lead coordination: Partner with stakeholders for site surveys, installations, training, and logistics. + Solve challenges: Identify risks early, troubleshoot issues, and keep projects moving forward. + Engineer excellence: Apply best practices and contribute to system design and documentation. + Inspire teams: Provide oversight, mentor staff, and support hiring and development. + Other duties may be assigned, this position usually reports to a Program Manager. To be successful in this role, you will have: A specialized blend of public safety domain knowledge, modern IT infrastructure expertise, and advanced stakeholder management skills. Three (3) to Five (5) years of working experience in the following areas: + Domain-Specific Technical Knowledge. + NG911 is not a standard IT rollout; it involves mission-critical life-safety systems. + ESInet Infrastructure: Understanding the Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet), which acts as the high-speed backbone for NG911. + Standards & Protocols: Familiarity with NENA i3 standards for call routing and protocols like SIP, VoIP, and TCP/IP. + Public Safety Systems: Experience integrating NG911 with existing Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Land Mobile Radio (LMR), and call-handling hardware. + GIS Workflows: Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for location-based call routing and advanced geolocation. Three (3) years of working experience in Core IT Project Management Skills in the following areas: + Lifecycle Management (SDLC): Overseeing the project from requirements gathering through testing, configuration, and implementation. + Agile & Waterfall Proficiency: Ability to use methodologies like Agile for software components and Waterfall for physical infrastructure deployments. + Cybersecurity & Compliance: Knowledge of CJIS Security Awareness and data security standards to protect sensitive emergency data. + Procurement & Vendor Management: Managing the acquisition of hardware and services through government RFP processes. + Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as a liaison between PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points), law enforcement, government officials, and technical vendors. + Change Management: Guiding dispatchers and staff through the transition from legacy systems to multimedia data handling (text, video, and images). + Risk Mitigation: Identifying technical roadblocks earlyu2014such as integration failures or network congestionu2014to ensure
