What Youu2019ll Do: + Providepsychological assessments, neuropsychological evaluations, and counseling servicesto patients and their families. + Offer cognitive and neuropsychological expertise that supports functional recovery and community reintegration. + Collaborate closely with a diverse interdisciplinary team, includingOccupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and other specialists. + Participate in interdisciplinary planning, contributing insights that guide treatment across the full continuum of care. + Support patients as they navigate real-world transitions and build independence in everyday life. Responsibilities u00b7 Performs periodic formal assessments and evaluations, assessing needs of patients and setting measurable objectives in conjunction with the treatment team. Provides feedback/input to the patient, family and treatment team regarding cognitive/neuropsychological rehabilitation issues, test results and their practical application. u00b7 Provides counseling/psychotherapy and education to the patient and family regarding the adjustment process and programmatic outcome. If applicable for program, leads groups in accordance with appropriate group dynamics. u00b7 Designs community reintegration activities to assist the patient with their psychological/cognitive needs during physical activity and assists the patient in understanding their needs and limitations and how to manage them. u00b7 Provides documentation of treatment progress and status in accordance with the Plan of Treatment and adjusts when necessary to achieve maximum results. u00b7 Reports progress to the rehabilitation staff, patient/family/support system. Observes/documents and reports changes in the condition of the patient to the Clinical Coordinator/designee, attending physician and other treatment team members as appropriate. u00b7 Participates in the team process, provides input and effective treatment strategies. Attends case conference and family educational meetings. u00b7 Develops, teaches and assesses the plan of treatment. Guides and supervises the Rehabilitation Specialist/Certified Nursing Assistant in fulfillment of the plan. Uses appropriate methods and tools in all teaching and training activities, including those associated with discharge from treatment u00b7 Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, HIPAA and Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws. u00b7 Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications u00b7 PhD or PsyD in Psychology or in an accredited training program in Neuropsychology. u00b7 Maintains professional Psychology license and/or certification as required by the state in which the psychologist practices. u00b7 Minimum of two years post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology plus u00b7 Minimum of three years clinical experience in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions is generally required. u00b7 Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques are generally required. u00b7 Current BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certifications. u00b7 Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. u00b7 Able to work independently and part of a team. u00b7 Organized and able to function under minimal supervision. u00b7 Has reliable transportation and able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis.
