Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inspector to support a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing inu2011process, final, and receiving inspections on machined and assembled components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Inspector works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams in an AS9100u2011compliant environment. Key Responsibilities + Perform inu2011process, final, and receiving inspections + Inspect machined parts, subu2011assemblies, and finished assemblies + Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T + Use precision measurement tools including: + Calipers + Micrometers + Height gauges + Pin gauges and indicators + Document inspection results and maintain traveler records + Identify, document, and report nonu2011conforming material + Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities (preferred) + Communicate inspection findings with Manufacturing and Engineering teams + Maintain accurate inspection records per quality requirements + Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100) Required Qualifications + Experience in manufacturing or aerospace inspection + Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T + Experience inspecting tightu2011tolerance precision components + Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision + High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Preferred Qualifications + Experience with CMM or vision inspection systems + Prior work in an AS9100 or ISOu2011regulated environment + Previous Aerospace industry experience Record inspection results and maintain traveler documentation Identify, document, and report nonu2011conforming material Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities (experience preferred) Communicate findings with Manufacturing and Engineering Maintain inspection records per quality requirements Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100) Top Skills Details Inspection, final inspection, gd&t, calipers, micrometer, height gauges Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing or aerospace inspection Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T Familiarity with tightu2011tolerance precision components Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Attention to detail and documentation accuracy CMM or vision inspection experience preferred, not required Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Farmingdale, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
