The Operations Lead is responsible to ensure achievement of Hardware Delivery to the Customer Request Date, and responsible to inform the Program Manager of significant delivery issues, including the impact to the customer, develop recovery plans (LOB), and support internal and/or external Customer communications. The Operations Lead functions as the primary lead for all Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Cost objectives for military programs within the Environmental and Airframe Control Systems (EACS) business throughout the product life cycle. What You Will Do + Maintain a culture of safety, quality and compliance as a top priority + Leverage exceptional written and verbal communication skills, in partnership with the Program Managers to ensure effective internal and customer communication on manufacturing plans and operational performance. + Drive rapid closure to issues as they arise, including quality, supply and operational excellence issues + Partner with site operations to develop strong inventory strategies and production schedules based on demand, lead time, capacity constraints, inventory targets and materials availability + Accelerate proactive efforts to get in front of future risk to operational performance + Facilitate burndown of SRI (Supplier Request for Information) and FAI (First Article Inspection) + Support LTB or material substitution activities to ensure component availability. + Provide inputs into the SIOP process + Support the Product Line Teams in driving rate readiness assessments, identifying gaps, and driving action plans to maintain production capacity (labor, equipment, tooling) in alignment with the long and short-term demand. Qualifications You Must Have + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience + Experience in Quality, Operations or Supply Management including new product introduction Qualifications We Prefer + Experience with SI&OP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) processes. + Customer relationship management skills, with working experience resolving operational challenges. + Experience in application of continuous improvement tools.
