Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Mid-level Systems Administrator to support one of our large federal clients on a long-term DoD contract. This person will need to possess a TS/SCI DoD clearance and work in person on customer site. Compensation ranges from $35/hr to $50/hr. Job duties include but are not limited to: u2022u2003Under general supervision, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. u2022u2003Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. u2022u2003Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. u2022u2003Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. u2022u2003Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. u2022u2003Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services. u2022u2003Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. u2022u2003Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. u2022u2003Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. u2022u2003Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions u2022u2003Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems u2022u2003Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems u2022u2003Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. u2022u2003Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem u2022u2003Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers u2022u2003Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process u2022u2003Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems u2022u2003Install/load operating system and application software u2022u2003Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof u2022u2003Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance u2022u2003Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems u2022u2003Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity u2022u2003Travel may be required to support the mission Shifts: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm (4 days) M-F 2:00pm-10:30pm (5 days) M-F 4:00pm-2:30am (4 days) We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
