Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will oversee a variety of financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards. You will also play an integral part in mentoring entry-level team members and enhancing the efficiency of accounting processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and mentor entry-level team members, providing guidance and reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring financial transactions are recorded in alignment with established accounting policies. u2022 Monitor account activity and maintain supporting documentation to ensure proper financial recordkeeping. u2022 Complete, review, and approve reconciliations for general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed. u2022 Design, implement, and document workflows and controls for accounting and reporting processes, including subsidiary systems. u2022 Recommend and refine controls to adapt to changes in products, processes, regulations, or corporate policies. u2022 Develop and update accounting processes and procedures to align with regulatory and organizational standards. u2022 Analyze financial performance by preparing and interpreting complex reports, including variance analyses and budget forecasts. u2022 Ensure accurate and timely submission of management, regulatory, and financial reports. u2022 Respond to audit inquiries and collaborate with relevant teams to provide necessary analysis and documentation. Requirements u2022 Extensive experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts, including bank reconciliations. u2022 Strong familiarity with Workday ERP systems and related accounting tools. u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and variance reports. u2022 Proven track record of maintaining compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies. u2022 Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. u2022 Strong communication skills to effectively mentor team members and collaborate across departments. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
