Service Technician

Job Title: Service Technician Job Description As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on compressed air equipment. You will travel to various customer sites, primarily within a day's drive, though occasional overnight stays may be required. Your work will span diverse industrial and commercial settings, from dental offices to manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities + Install or rebuild and test compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities. + Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and test compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities. + Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities. + Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs. + Document work performed using a mobile program on a tablet and submit to appropriate business units in a timely manner. + Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Parts and Sales Departments, to facilitate service to customers. + Exhibit the highest level of safety standards by consistently donning appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulatory requirements. + Install air piping for customer facilities and pipe in compressed air equipment. Essential Skills + 2+ years of hands-on experience in independent compressor breakdown and repair capability. + Proficiency in performing full maintenance and end-to-end breakdown repair on industrial compressed air equipment. + Mechanical and electrical/controls troubleshooting, including root-cause analysis across mechanical and electrical failures. + Ability to perform mechanical repairs (air ends, bearings, seals, valves, coolers, belts, motors, alignment). + Electrical/controls work, including 460V motor replacements, starters/contactors, VFD/drive troubleshooting, sensors, and safe work inside control panels. + Field-service readiness and customer interaction skills, with strong time management, documentation, and professional communication. + Valid driveru2019s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ year of refrigeration equipment maintenance experience (air dryers, cooling systems, etc.). + EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification. + ASSE 6040 u2013 Medical Gas Maintenance Personnel Certification.
