CNC Lathe Machinist

summary:CNC Machinist - Pomona, CAThis is an apprentice level position.The CNCMachinist II plans and executes projects using machine tools including boring tools, calipers, drilling machines, grinding machines, lathes, milling cutters, and workshop presses.Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, charts & tables.Needs to be able to edit programs and write simple programs.Needs to work to dimensions and tolerances provided by blueprints.Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools. Monitor speed and feed of machines during the machining process.Prefer to have both FANUC and HAAS controls for Lathes.Needs to be able to work on Lathes machinery. Mills experience is a plus.Schedule: 6am-2:30pm, Mon-FriPay: $22-$28/hr depending on experienceJob functions:Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample partsWork to dimensions and tolerances provided by blueprintsSet up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precisionFit and assemble machined metal parts and sub assemblies using hand and power toolsVerify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using#nowhiring required-skills: High school diploma or equivalent required One year of machine shop experience required Completion of a technical trade school, or the equivalent of education and experience High School Degreerequired-experience: 1+ year experience
