Community Support Specialists (CSS) with our Emerging Adults Program provide mental health and substance use treatment support where it makes the most impact u2013 in a young personu2019s community. Working as a Community Support Specialist is a unique learning opportunity. Through care planning, you will be an integral part of a clientu2019s growth and recovery. You will remove barriers to mental healthcare through case management: connecting our clients with resources and helping them navigate complex systems. You will help young adults strengthen daily living skills as you drive them to doctorsu2019 appointments, to benefits offices, or to the grocery store. You will also assist with facilitating activities and programs that will contribute to young adultsu2019 overall development. Each day will be a little bit different, requiring you to adapt to your clientu2019s schedule, needs, and treatment plan.
