What You Can Expect: The Thoracic Nurse Navigator plays a critical role in ensuring timely, comprehensive, and patient centered coordination of care for individuals seeking evaluation and treatment. The Nurse Navigator serves as a patient advocate and liaison, guiding individuals and families through the complexities of cancer care. This role is essential in ensuring timely access to care, coordinating multidisciplinary services, and providing education and emotional support throughout the cancer journey. Join the only specialty surgical oncology team in the state of Idaho, our team has a great culture and a passion for advancing patient outcomes Full-time (1.0 FTE) 80 hours per pay period Schedule: Monday-Friday 5 x 8-hour shifts a week No nights, weekends, or St. Lukeu2019s observed holidays Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires Certification pay available (ex. OCN, CNOR, CGRN) Assess barriers to oncology care and offers support, care coordination, guidance and education for patients and families with a new diagnosis of cancer Serve as key liaison between patients, referring providers, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams Qualifications: Education: Nursing Degree Experience: Two (2) + yearsu2019 RN experience Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Preferred: Oncology or surgical specialty settings At St. Lukeu2019s, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission - and this includes our own SLHS team.
