SCC's affiliation with Sletten allows us to offer benefits unmatched in the inspection industry.u00a0 POSITION SUMMARY SCC Inspection Services is seeking a qualified NDT Level II UT Technician to join our team. The NDE Technician will be performing calibrations, testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to code requirements and customer needs. Level II Technicians are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Level II Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the ultrasonic methods, specifically UT-Thickness, and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assistants and other technicians. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Conduct nondestructive testing (NOT) on materials and components using established methods. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Perform NOT Tests using various methods including Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonicu00ad Thickness Testing (UT-T), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Dye-Penetrant Testing (PT). u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Document and report test results accurately and in compliance with client requirements. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Manage and secure all necessary inspection data, information, photos, and other job-specific materials. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and operational guidelines. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet required deadlines. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations . u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively during testing processes. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Document inspection results and other requirements accurately and prepare detailed reports for review. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning. REQUIREMENTS u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0At least 2 years of experience in the NOT industry. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0At least 1 year of experience or background in the marine service and/or maintenance. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Experience in UT testing. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Knowledge of marine vessels and equipment preferred. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Ability to pass a drug test and background check. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Proficiency with computers, including email, Microsoft Office, and the ability to adapt to company-specific software. u2022u00a0u00a0 u00a0Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Sletten Construction and SCC Inspection are Equal Opportunity Employers Powered by JazzHR
