We are looking for a Senior Commercial Lender that can generate and manage complex, high-risk commercial loan portfolios while aggressively developing new business through strong client relationships, referrals, and cross-selling. Essential Functions: + Responsible for generating and servicing a wide variety of commercial loans, including the most complex, large, difficult, and sensitive credits. + Aggressively seeks and obtains quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling efforts. + Responsible for developing strong, low risk commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service. + Acts as the principal account and relationship manager for new and existing clients. + Develops, generates and follows-up on new client leads through existing clients and referrals from other bank departments. + Calls on existing relationships to review portfolios and makes recommendations as needed. + Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing, and perceptive character judgment. + Responsible for monitoring credit performance and ensures compliance with all related regulations, laws, etc. + Responsible for building and maintaining relationships, with a resulting high degree of customer satisfaction. + Cross sell other bank products. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Requires a Bachelor's and 10+ years' experience with commercial lending, credit, underwriting, or 12+ years other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet the requirements. + Requires skills and experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment, loan structuring, credit analysis, and monitoring credit performance. + Subject matter expert knowledge of commercial loans, credit analysis, lending, loan processing and closing processes. + Ability to expand commercial loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products. + Requires exceptional sales ability. + Expert experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment skills. + Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance. + Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. + Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets. + Manages the most high-risk, complex, and large commercial portfolios. + Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. + Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
