Job Title: RMX Production Manager Req ID: 16245 HR Contact: Fredric Victor THOMPSON Location: Plano RMX TX ABOUT THE ROLE Primarily responsible for the attainment of production and distribution objectives for assigned ready mix plants; effective management and mentoring of subordinates to attain quality and productivity targets, compliance with legislative requirements, plant rules, safe work procedures, practices and work instructions; performs various OH&S program activities such as inspections, training and incident investigations; provides plants and onsite customer service; meets financial targets and budget objectives; interfaces with other functional groups to maintain safe and efficient facilities and processes, carries out employees and labour relations activities, as required, works with key product, materials and service suppliers to ensure business needs are adequately addressed, manages operational purchasing requirements, delivers on CAPEX and special projects as business needs exist, oversees materials inventory ordering, control and administration, and works to instil a culture of continuous improvement. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH + Achieves the Plant strategic objectives by planning, implementing, directing and monitoring the variousactivities at the plant level. + Maintains plant performance objectives by providing direction and monitoring the various activities at theplant level. + Maintains Plant staff performance objectives by providing clear work direction and expectations, providingtools required for performance, supporting and coaching employees; answering grievances, planning,monitoring and appraising performance objectives. + Ensures product quality and expected customer service levels are met for assigned operational sites. + Achieves financial objectives by assisting Area Manager & Operations Manager in budget planning,scheduling expenditures, analysing variances; and initiating corrective actions. + Ensures Supervisor under purview are regularly involved in activities to engage employees. + Complies with Federal, State and Local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation;anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on an asneeded basis. + Ensures a culture built with honesty and integrity, and compliance with company requirements. + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors. WHAT WEu2019RE LOOKING FOR Education: Associate's degree equivalent work experience. Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree Required Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferably in Ready Mix Concrete operations. Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP Systems (i.e. SAP), Google Mail, and Microsoft Suite to include PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and an aptitude for specialized computer software and applications. Travel Requirements: Primary travel in Northern Virginia with some travel to Maryland and DC.
