Job DescriptionCurrently seeking a 1:1 Aide for Francis of Paola ELC located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.Address: 201 Conselyea Street Brooklyn NY 11211 Role Description: Part Time Monday-FridayHours (range): 8:30A.M-2:00 P.MNon benefit role10 month program with 30 day summer sessionResponsibilities include:Under the direction of the Teacher/ Behavior Trainer, follow the daily activity schedule/lesson plans and support and guide the implementation of a students objectives as indicated in his/her IEP.Provide direct care services to student as needed, including toileting, dressing and feeding, in an instructional manner so as to provide the basis of future independent student action.Participate in the arrival and dismissal of student as needed.Participate in activities outside the classroom when necessary (e.g. playground, field trips, gym etc.); interact with the student; and address the students safety and physical needs.Understand the nature of the students disability and its impact on the students performance; be familiar with the students IEP objectives including the educational purpose and methodology; be familiar with the students medical alerts and EPOP (Enhanced Protective Oversight Plan) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
